Ordinals are essentially Bitcoin NFTs you can mint directly on the Bitcoin blockchain. Each sat (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) can be inscribed with data, such as JPGs, GIFs, PDFs and more, creating a Bitcoin Ordinal which is then held in a wallet. Ordinals are interchangeably referred to as Bitcoin Ordinals, Ordinal inscriptions, Bitcoin NFTs, and inscriptions.
Creation Process
The Serenity print was born from my Orange Movement collection, which celebrated female energy and women in Bitcoin. From that collection, I selected a piece featuring a girl with blonde hair and decided to create a limited print, allowing collectors to mint editions of a single work. The first version was fully orange, and then I worked in Photoshop to create a green version, combining the two to add contrasting green elements. I also made a GIF version where the entire image flashed, adding a dynamic, living quality to the piece.
Gamma Edition-1
This piece was later featured in the first edition of the Gamma Marketplace book, a collection highlighting some of the best artists working with Bitcoin. The book included Serenity among other notable works, showcasing its significance within the Bitcoin art community, as seen in the image below.
