Torus
Collectible Design
This project brings together material exploration and social impact, turning sculptural objects into a way to support communities in need. It reflects a moment in time while offering something lasting, both as an object and as a contribution.

The collection was created to raise funds for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, which serves over 300,000 people each month, including seniors, children, and low income families. The project began at the start of Covid in the US, when the crisis disproportionately affected already vulnerable communities and made access to food even more uncertain.

Candleholder Materials
Pieces are made of Jesmonite, a composite material formed from a reactive mineral base and a water based acrylic resin. The work explores natural forms and patterns that feel almost otherworldly, as if shaped by forces beyond direct control. Each piece is cast and finished by hand, allowing subtle variations to emerge through the process. Pigments shift in tone, surfaces develop their own textures, and no two objects resolve in exactly the same way. The result is a collection where material, process, and chance come together, producing forms that feel both intentional and organic, with a quiet sense of movement and depth.

Form Meaning
The torus candle holder is based on a geometric form created by rotating a circle in three dimensional space around an axis that lies in the same plane. This continuous surface creates a balanced, looping shape with no clear beginning or end, giving the object a sense of continuity and calm.
